Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout - On Tap

I was really on an interesting path as I headed into this beer.  From sour ale to lambic to stout… my taste buds weren’t sure what I was doing, but they hadn’t failed me yet and the switch to this beer was an easy transition.  As noted below, the chocolate was in the aroma, not as much the taste, but this had a classic dark, roasted flavor to it that was flirting with burnt undertones.  While I wrote that it had a lite body, I don’t know how much that was because of where I had been or not since Stasia was really surprised by that comment. :)  The 10% ABV was completely hidden in this beer… very well tendered and weaved into the flavor tapestry so as to have really no idea.  I think this one may have been the tipping point as my memory starts to get a little more shallow after this… :)

Side note: Their website has a good cookie system since it remembers you as you enter your name and you can just reenter the site again upon return.  Pretty slick.  Check out the breweries history here: history.
