I really like these guys… I like their normal Diamond Knot IPA… I was pretty sure I would like this IPA… I wasn’t wrong.
To sum it all up, same recipe, “25% more grain and twice the hops!” according to their description of the Industrial IPA on their website. Short and to the point… just the way I like it.
As far as the taste experience goes, it pours a dark amber color with a big head. The nose is sweet and hoppy and the body is hoppy, hoppy, hoppy! Bitter finish on the back of the throat with just a hint of sweetness. Overall super solid and lives up to my expectations.

First tasted at Eddie’s Trackside in Monroe, WA, Diamond Knot IPA was an instant favorite… and now it is available in the bottle! A really well balanced American IPA that has the high hops and balance of some of the greats. Light in color, short in head, the nose on this bad boy is the real pre-drink dazzler. Sweet and fruity hops assault the nose, bringing to mind some wonderful memories of my last brewing session at Casa de Blackheart. Heading into the mouth is a super smooth, sweet, yet bitter body that is perfectly balanced with a long lasting finish that just eases you out of the taste… not too short, not too long… very nice. You would almost say it isn’t quite enough of a hit in the mouth but there, just under the easy to drink surface lurks the teeth of a gator, reminding you that you definitely aren’t safe with this beer… it has plenty of bite to go around.
A great IPA… one that is just as good out of the bottle as it is on tap.
