Drinking Beer for a Cause
Ok folks, it is time to put some of the page views on this site into action… and since we aren’t doing this for money for ourselves, well lets do it for others! We figure we drink enough beer around here that we are pretty fortunate. There are obviously people all over the world that don’t have the luxury of tipping back a cold one, let alone eating a decent meal. So, we want to do something to help.
We aren’t delusional. We know that people do their own giving on their own time and in their own ways and we aren’t asking for that to change. What we are asking is that if you have enjoyed your fair share of fine brews in the world, that you spend the cost of one or more of those beers toward a good cause. Pretty simple… we aren’t looking for low numbers of people with high donation amounts… we are looking for high numbers of people with low donation amounts! 
Imagine if our 10k views each month were turned into a beer each… that would be $20k a month going to those in need, all in the name of the beer drinking community! In fact, if we were able to raise $2500 or more in our target time frame, we could event adopt a village… see Adopt-a-Village at World Neighbors. If that happens, you have our word we will post all of the said correspondence and information from them on this site… it would be pretty amazing.
Why would you donate here, do you ask? Two things:

- A small donation from you and everyone else that reads the blog will go a long ways…
We have chosen to donate to a particular charity over the next 6 months. From 12/23/08 – 6/1/09, any money donated will go to World Neighbors. As noted, if we exceed $2500 we will work with them to do the Adopt-a-Village program… no promises since I haven’t talked with them yet, but we would try our damndest.
