Second beer of the trip. Was looking for yet another spot to do some work and enjoy a brew. Concierge pointed me to Han Wool a block away, so I headed there. A darkly lit Japanese-Korean Fusion setting greated me with about 6 other patrons. I requested a spot with some juice so I could keep the laptop going and the placed me right in the middle of folks. No problem… just going to be reading some training pre-reading anyhow.
I checked out the menu, ordered some spring roles and shrimp tempura and a beer that sounded Asian (to me, at least) but ended up being America’s oldest brewery… go figure. Yuengling Traditional Lager was cheaper than the imports, so I went with it… much to my surprise, I am very glad I did!
Yuengling Traditional Lager is a really solid lager. Now, I don’t know how much of that is the fact that I had been traveling for 9 hours, the fact that I was hungry, or the fact that I am in the birthplace of this beer, but I really liked this beer. Good, clean, crisp, not bitter but plenty of taste and flavor. Went really well with the appetizers and the extra food they brought me to go with it. Some potato salad stuff, some little dead whole fishies, and some spicy vegies all did fine in complimenting this beer.
