I had a super interesting beer the other day… one that I still remember and think of very fondly… He’Brew Jewbelation Twelve. This dark, ruby red beer comes to us from Shmaltz Brewing Company… makers of the He’Brew line of beers… this happens to be their 12th anniversary beer and for the occasion is riddled with 12’s… 12 malts, 12 hops, and 12 additions… that all add up to beer goodness as far as I am concerned. The ruddy, slow forming head rises up like it is on nitrous (but it isn’t) and lends itself to a super, super smooth body that coats the inside of your mouth in hops, malts, and alcohol… the finish is clean and crisp and the memory is wonderful in your mouth. At 12% ABV (had to be), this is no slouch in your belly… a warmer through and through.
I figure that these folks spent their time coming up with enough 12’s that I should be able to as well… so here are 12 adjectives for the folks at Shmaltz:
