De Proef Brewmaster’s Collaboration with Tomme Arthur – Wasn’t sure on this one the other day, but decided to bit the bullet and make the purchase at Malt & Vine… so very happy I did. As the bottle notes, there is definitely a mix of Belgian and American brewing styles… can tell right off the bat. The mix of the dry hopping and belgian yeast = great results. Nose is slight… not much of an aroma at all, but the body makes up for the lack of aroma. It is a light belgian with a nice balance of the hops and malt. “The Belly” noted citrus in there, as well. Finish is a tad too short but I won’t hold it against them… 🙂
Overall a really interesting collaboration project that was pulled off quite nicely. I recommend checking out some of the links below to get a feel for the two breweries that came together here.
